    JOSEPHINE SHARPE
    WILDWOOD SCHOOL BOARD SINCE: 2013
    TERM EXPIRES: 2022

Mrs. Sharpe is a retired teacher from the Wildwood School District with 20 + years of service. Prior to moving to Wildwood full time in 1976, she taught in the Philadelphia School District. After retirement in 2013 it was a natural progression in serving the community to run for and be elected to Wildwood’s School Board. Since then she has earned both certified and master board certifications.  She is currently serving in her second term as president of the Cape May County School Board Association (CMCSBA), advocating for #cmcschoolsmatter (We're more than a beach!) and is a member of New Jersey Schools Insurance Group (NJSIG) Board of Trustees.

Through the years Mrs. Sharpe has been active in supporting the Wildwood community and beyond. During her son’s school years, she was president of the Glenwood Ave. Elementary Home and School Association. More recently a Cub Scout leader and presently a member of The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement.  Additionally, she has participated in organizations raising scholarship funds for post high school Cape May County students.

Mrs. Sharpe‘s motto is “moving forward with forward thinking”.  It is this positive energy and determination to not only move forward but to excel that keeps her committed to the school boards mission to provide quality education for all.
